Privacy and personal data

This site presents Puntada and takes sign-ups for its waiting list. Here we explain what data we ask for, what we use it for, who receives it, and how you can see, correct or delete it.

Who is responsible for your data

Semilla de Árbol S.A., company ID (cédula jurídica) 3-101-791338, domiciled in San Pedro de Montes de Oca, San José, Costa Rica, is responsible for the database of the Puntada waiting list. To see, correct or delete your data, use the form at the end of this page.

What data we ask for

We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

The stitch preview

The preview on the home page runs entirely in your browser. The photo you choose is not uploaded to any server: we do not see it, we do not keep it, and it never leaves your device.

What we use it for

To tell you by email when Puntada opens, to learn which machines and devices to add first, and to answer your request if you write from this page or to privacidad@puntada.ai. Nothing else: we do not sell it, use it for advertising or share it with other companies.

What we count without personal data

To limit abuse, we count how many sign-ups arrive each day from the same connection. For that we do not store the IP address: we store a code that cannot be reversed, and delete it the next day. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, records technical data of each visit (such as the IP address) in its operating logs, which are deleted after a few days.

To learn which parts of the site work, we count steps (a visit, a preview, a form started, a sign-up) with the page language and the source of the visit, such as “google” or “whatsapp”. That count keeps no personal data: no IP address, no browser, no cookies, not your email.

Who receives it

Nobody outside the company. These technical providers process it so the site works: Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the database, forwards what you write to privacidad@puntada.ai to the company’s mailbox and, with Turnstile, checks that a person is signing up; Resend, which sends the internal notice of each sign-up and each request, and our answer to your request; and Google, which hosts the company’s email, where that notice arrives. None of them uses it for anything else.

Your consent

The form asks for your express permission before it keeps your data. Without it, the form keeps nothing. You can withdraw your permission at any time, as explained below. If you write to privacidad@puntada.ai, writing to us is your permission: we use your email, your name, your message and any attachments only to answer that request, and keep them in the company’s mailbox until the request is resolved.

How long we keep your data

We keep each sign-up and each request in the database for up to 24 months after we receive it. Then it is deleted automatically, or sooner if you ask.

Each sign-up and each request also arrives as an internal notice in the company’s mailbox. The notice of a sign-up does not carry your email: your email stays only in the database. The notice of a request does, so we can answer you, and we delete it once the request is resolved, as we do with what you write to privacidad@puntada.ai.

How to see, correct or delete your data

Use the form below with the same email you signed up with and say what you need: see your data, correct it, delete it, leave the list or withdraw your consent. You can also write from that email to privacidad@puntada.ai. We answer to that email within 5 business days at most.

If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can contact Costa Rica’s data protection agency, the Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes (Prodhab).
